2011 & 2010 wellness by design awards
 Hennepin County again recognized Dakota Communities with its Wellness by Design Award in 2011. The award honors organizations that find innovative ways to ensure healthy work environments and encourage healthy employee lifestyles. Dakota Communities received the Gold level award in 2011,
evidence of its dedication to continued wellness initiatives since 2010 when the it was granted the Silver level award. This year's work site award ceremonies were held on Thursday, June 23rd at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center.
