Dakota Communities is a non-profit organization founded in West St. Paul in 1972 by parents of children with disabilities, volunteers, and community partners. Today we support adults and children in their family homes, their communities, and 33 Dakota Communities residential settings throughout the Greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. We currently provide services in eight counties: Anoka, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright.

In 2012, Dakota Communities is celebrating 40 incredible years of partnering with people with disabilities to realize their goals and potential.
