a passion for going placesWhat are you doing this fall? For you, autumn may mean sharing a Thanksgiving meal with family, sending the kids back to school, getting lost in a corn maze, going for a hayride, or the start of football season.
Thanks to our donors, David's fall has been filled with new friendship, opportunities, and smiles. Like many of us, David loves the activities that this season brings. On September 1st he moved into Dakota Communities' Elgin Court home in Apple Valley. That same day he and his advocate headed to the Metrodome to catch a Vikings game.
Engaging in community activities is a way of life for David and his new housemate, Jeff. They have a passion for going places. Since moving in together the two have become fast friends. "David and Jeff both love to be out doing things, and they have the same positive energy," says David's mother Marissa Rosenblum. "They are a great match!" Whether they are picking apples at an orchard or cheering on their favorite teams, people like David and Jeff are on the move and building relationships because of donor support.
You can help by making a gift this fall to support community, recreation and outdoor activities for people served by Dakota Communities. Your donation will allow people with disabilities to do what they love. With your support they will enjoy a blazing campfire with friends, sing along at a concert, play hockey, attend a rodeo, or go for a relaxing swim.
Donate securely online, by calling 651.688.8808, or by mail.
Together we can do so much. Your care for the people we support makes a difference!
Thank you for your generosity!
