Dakota Communities is proud to be a member of ANCOR. The American Network of Community Options and Resources is a national trade association representing more than 800 private providers of community living and employment supports and services to more than 400,000 individuals with disabilities. ANCOR's mission is to inform, educate and network service providers to safeguard, develop, grow and extend their capacity to support the choices of people with disabilities.
     

AARM


  ARRM
ARRM (Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota) leads the advancement of community-based services that support people with disabilities in their pursuit of meaningful lives. Founded in 1970 by a group of private providers, ARRM is an association of 150 providers, including Dakota Communities, supporting thousands of people with disabilities.
     
Delta Society   Delta Society
Delta Society is a national non-profit organization that helps people live healthier and happier lives by incorporating therapy, service and companion animals into their lives. With their help, pet therapy visits brighten the days of people we support at more than half of Dakota Communities' homes.
     
Consortium
  Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities
The Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MN-CCD) is a coalition of more than 100 organizations of persons with disabilities, providers and advocates, dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities.
     
MN Landscape Arboretum
  Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
Dakota Communities’ partnership with the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum spans almost 20 years and includes a variety of projects and collaborations in support of the health and wellness of the people we serve. The Arboretum sponsors classes promoting healthy eating and garden care, grows crops for people to incorporate into their menus and builds raised flower beds at many Dakota Communities homes. 
     
MN State Fair Foundation
  Minnesota State Fair Foundation
The Garden Warriors initiative, in cooperation with the Minnesota State Fair Foundation, is a volunteer and horticultural therapy opportunity for people we support. Together with neighbors and other community members, they beautify the Fair gardens for the hundreds of thousands who attend the Fair each year. The initiative began in 2007, and has been growing strong ever since.
     
St. Catherine University
  St. Catherine University
In 2009, Julie Jones, Ph.D., Professor Emerita at St. Catherine University collaborated with students to overhaul Dakota Communities' menu system. New and healthier menu plans are now enjoyed by people at all of our 33 homes each season.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus now take advantage of fresh, seasonal ingredients which are naturally low in sodium and fat. Several members of the Dakota Communities Leadership Team have also completed courses at St. Catherine's Leadership Institute.
     
Tapemark
  Tapemark Charity Pro-AM
The Tapemark Charity Pro-Am, founded in 1972 by Bob Klas Sr. and Pat Cody Sr., raises money for non-profit agencies serving people with developmental and learning disabilities. As one of four major events for the Minnesota Section of the PGA, its growth, success and great generosity has directly contributed to the growth and success of Dakota Communities. In its more than 38 years of support, the Tapemark Charity Pro-Am has donated over $135,000 to Dakota Communities and the people we serve!
     
United Way
  United Way
In 2010, the Greater Twin Cities United Way awarded Dakota Communities a three-year, $78,750 grant to expand the scope and strengthen the evaluation of "Be Connected. Be Well", our innovative health and wellness initiative supporting people with developmental disabilities. Read more about our partnership with United Way.
     
Woodwinds Health Campus
  Woodwinds Health Campus
Employees and individuals supported by Dakota Communities take part in HealthEast's 'Ways to Wellness' health coaching program hosted by Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury. This 12-week program includes individualized goal setting, education in wellness and nutrition, and fitness training. 'Ways to Wellness' connects people served by Dakota Communities and employees to motivate and inspire each other to make healthy changes that last a lifetime.
